Race Map

Nominated time race will start at 9am and main race will start at 9:30am.

The meeting place is at the Spreyton Cider Co on Melrose Road. However, the start will be in the big paddock across Sheffield Road. Please be careful crossing Sheffield Road.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT do your warm-up on Sheffield Road. Use the paddock or the area around the cidery.

Run straight up the paddock to Jowetts Lane and turn left. Follow the road (stay on the left) until an arrow directs you left into an orchard where you will run straight ahead.

Follow the arrows and cones which will take you through the cherry orchard, turn left and head down Pilgrims Road where you will be directed behind the apple shed. Complete the marked loop and rejoin your path out which will take you back to the start/finish.

The presentations will be at the Spreyton Cider Co.

Race Map

This race is a relay where each team member covers the same 3.5-3.6 km course.  The race chute will serve as the start and finish (as well as the transition) for all team members. Each team will be provided race bibs for each leg (3 total).  The first bib is to be worn by runner number 1 (for legs 1 and 4), second bib to be worn by runner 2 (for legs 2 and 5) and so forth.

The race will start outside Berry Patch Caravan Park towards the end of Blackburn Drive (well past The Berry Patch Café entrance). Parking for vehicles is preferred to be off the road and inside the caravan parking area, behind the fenced section. We ask you NOT to park at the Berry Patch car park, or next to the road in front of the fenced section. Please be mindful of caravan park guests.

We are running in an anticlockwise direction.

Runners head east along Blackburn Dr to a point where they will be directed over the railway line.  The course heads north-east, crossing the vacant block to Boyes St and then onto the boardwalk until the end of Lukin St. Turn right and follow the path through the bush (not down the grass lane) and onto the Esplanade.  Follow the Esplanade remaining on the right-hand side (seaside) of the road.

NOTE: Between Henry St and Albert St along the Northern esplanade there are pathway construction works whereby you will be required to continue running along the right-hand side of the road through this section. It should be noted there is one-way traffic travelling in the same direction through this section, please be aware of any cars behind you. After Albert St, you will be required to run on the new coastal pathway on the right-hand side of the road until you are crossed to the left side of the road on Turners Beach Road just before the railway crossing. Basically, if there is a pathway, please use the path, and not the road.

Cross the railway line on the footpath and keep left to arrive back in Blackburn Drive, running towards the start/finish on the left-hand side of the road until near the start/finish chute. This completes one lap, where runners will tag their next team member.  The race will be two laps of this course for each runner.

Presentations will be conducted at The Berry Patch as soon as possible following the conclusion of the race. Multiple table reservations have been made by the club outside near the grass and shaded vine areas (Table #7 to #13). Feel free to stay and order coffee, and/or lunch.

Race Map

The course starts at the Romaine Reserve carpark adjacent to the BBQ area. Runners follow the reserves gravel pathway in an anticlockwise direction until they reach the start of the Mount Street link path. Here runners turn right onto the link path and continue for another 400m (There is a temporary detour for 2025 due to bridge works, runners will follow the detour and course markings performing a short 100m out and back along fence line to the turn marker). The course then turns left onto the fence line track, heading back into the reserve for approx. 700m until the Havenview link path. Here runners will do a hard right U turn, through the guard rails and onto the forestry fire track on the opposite side of the fence. The course follows the fire track southwest 1.5km, with runners staying true to the track. Runners will then turn right at the T intersection, then right again at the next T intersection as they approach the truck route. Here runners will complete a 300m out and back section around a turn marker, before continuing along the fire track adjacent to the truck route. Approx 1km down the track the course will perform a large “U” between the truck route and the reserve fence line tracks. Runners then continue another 1km along the truck route track, crossing over the Havenview link track, before following the track left towards the reserve. The course then turns left back onto the reserve gravel pathway, before turning right over the footbridge and finishing where the course started.
