Nominated time race will start at 9am and main race will start at 9:30am.
This race is a relay where each team member covers the same 3.5 km course twice. The race chute will serve as the start and finish (as well as the transition) for all team members. Each team will be provided race bibs for each leg. The first bib is to be worn by runner number 1 (for legs 1 and 4), second bib to be worn by runner 2 (for legs 2 and 5) and so forth.
The race will start adjacent to the Turners Beach Football Club on Henry Street. Parking for PCCCT runners and supporters is available on the grassed area next to the Turners Beach Football oval with access to toilets inside the clubrooms. There will be a coffee van in attendance.
The course will be run in a clockwise direction with runners following the designated pathway along Henry Street until they are directed by a marshall across on to the Esplanade. Runners are asked to keep the right hand side of the esplanade, either on the footpath or the roadway, until they pass the turners beach boat ramp at which time runners are permitted to move to the left side of the road when safe to do so.
Runners will continue left on to the bush track beside the river for approximately 50metres taking a right turn to head towards Lukin Street and continuing along the elevated walkway across the wetlands. Runners continue on to the bridge following the coastal pathway, and on to the pathway on the Leith side of the river. Approximately 200metres along the Western side of the river runners will see the turn sign at the bollards at the bottom of Allport Street West. Runners will return over the bridge and elevated walkway continuing straight on to Lukin Street. Runners will be marshalled across to Susan Street and will continue along Susan Street crossing Boyes street and following the coastal pathway until the right turn into Henry Street where runners will finish the course tagging their team mate.
Presentations will be conducted in the Turners Beach Clubrooms immediately following the conclusion of the race.
