NB: The Tasmanian launch of the Yes campaign for The Voice will be taking place commencing at 6pm at the Devonport Surf Club. This means that parking might be a bit tight.

This is a mass start event. All runners will start at 6pm. Handicaps will be applied post race to determine the winner of the handicap event. The winner and placegetters will be announced on the night, with the full results and handicaps being posted to the website later that night. The nominated time event will be held at 5:30pm.

This is a simple out and back course along the pathway following the Mersey River. The meeting point is at the Bluff in Devonport. The course has lights along the full course, and it will be twilight when we start (Sunset 5:48, Dusk 6:16). It will be dark at the conclusion of the race. Head torches are not mandatory, though feel free to wear one if you would like. Please make sure you keep left at all times, and respect other users of the path. There can be some dark patches from 1km to 2km, so make sure you’re paying attention to where you are going.

The race will start at the first light pole on the path near the playground at the Bluff. You will then head East out along the foreshore path, keeping left at all times (including at the split in the track approx 500m in). At approx 2km in, there is two pedestrian crossings at the boat ramp. There will be a marshal at each, please follow their instructions. At the fork after the second pedestrian crossing you will veer left and continue following the path along the river. After you go under the elevated walkway, you will turn immediately right across the train line, with a sharp left onto the path. We will be cutting across the grass in this section, so follow the cones as placed. The path narrows for 200m, so again, please keep left and watch for other path users. Continue following the path along Formby Road until you get to another fork at Petbarn. You will veer left, and you will find the turn around point shortly after. Head around the cone, and head back exactly the way you came, ensuring that you keep left to avoid any collisions with other runners.

Presentations will be held shortly after the final runner crosses the line.
